Step 1.

Click on the title of a book you are interested in to view additional information including the £UK price. Enter the Amazon.com Price into the top left-hand box of the currency calculator. No '£' sign is required.

Step 2.

Select whether it is the first item to be shipped or if it is an additional item to be shipped at the same time.

Step 3.

Choose the method of shipment. Amazon have two methods for International Shipments of Books as shown in the table.

Europe	Airmail	£2.95 + £1.00 per item
Europe	Priority Express	£15.00 + £1.00 per item
North America	Airmail	£2.95 + £2.00 per item
North America	Priority Express	£20.00 + £2.00 per item
Rest of World	Airmail	£2.95 + £3.00 per item
Rest of World	Priority Express	£20.00 + £3.00 per item

There is also the selection available for Exchange rate only. If 'None' is selected for book, there are no shipping charges included in the calculation which means it becomes a straight currency calculator. You can use this facility to check the final amount (including shipping) from Amazon.co.uk and know what you will have to pay in your local currency.

Step 4.

Select your local currency from the drop-down list.

Step 5.

Click on the button labeled Go! and the local currency price, including the cost of shipping, is displayed. We take no responsibility for the accuracy of the exchange rate data. When the program is first loaded a message appears in the results box [on YYMMDD ] indicating the date the exchange rates were last updated.

How it Works

The above banner includes a JavaScript calculator for international customers of Amazon.co.uk to determine the price in your local currency, including the costs associated with your choice of shipping method.

Amazon.com will debit your credit card the amount in £UK on the day shipment takes place. Since this is some days after placing your order (maybe a few weeks if a book is on back order), and since currency exchange rates fluctuate daily, it is difficult to accurately forecast the exact price in your local currency.
